It’s time! Let’s Build Together the Arco Iris House in Half the Time!
The Arco Iris (Rainbow) House at our shelter the Bible Home, needs to be rebuilt right away! The house had to be razed because it was not meeting the building standards set by the Costa Rican government and no longer suitable for family living. The Bible Home exists to care for children who have had to be removed from difficult home situations: it provides them with holistic treatment, teaches them God’s love and Christian values and has a school onsite. We need to rebuild this house so 10 more children can experience God’s healing at the Bible Home! The new Arco Iris House will be in line with government building standards and provide more open space that will encourage people to gather together and make it easier to supervise the children. Our plan is to start construction in 2012, but we still need to raise about $150,000. In May, 2011, Roblealto received a matching grant for the rest of the funds needed!
A Kingdom of Virtues!

The children and adolescents in Roblealto are learning to acquire virtues in every aspect of their lives! Over the past few years, we have been working hard to create this culture of virtues so the children can understand that they have been specially created to live in a way that pleases God and positively influences others.
Encouraging the children to practice good virtues helps build Christian character in them and positively reinforces good behavior. Instead of telling the children to not cut in line or talk with their mouths full, we encourage them to practice the virtues of respect and courtesy. When they are fighting with other children, we remind them to practice tolerance, patience and serenity.
