The Services and Care We Provide

The Roblealto Child Care Association cares for a population between nine months and 12 years of age, who come from families with special characteristics, such as:

  • Insufficient economic resources
  • Physical and mental health problems
  • Deterioration in quality of life
  • Low educational level
  • Children who suffer some kind of abuse, with behavioral and academic problems
  • Single, abused mothers who have little economic and inner resources to overcome their family situation
  • Families with severe conflicts, which produce emotional problems for the children.

Currently, the Association permanently cares for approximately 650 children who come from around 330 families. Although emphasis is placed on the work with children, follow-up is given to adolescents through a group made up of those who are no longer at the care centers, and a vision of overall support for the family is maintained.

The priorities in the care provided to these little ones are:

  • Protection
  • Nutrition and support in the area of health
  • Christian education
  • Overall care options that offer them security and stability
  • Help in overcoming emotional problems caused by different situations
  • Educational support and reinforcement of formal education
  • Access to, through the Enrique Strachan School (at our temporary shelter Hogar Bíblico), an efficient and integral education system so that the children can prepare themselves and have better chances of obtaining employment in the future.
