New El Bosque House Celebrates God's Faithfulness, Donor Churches

Friday night, Oct 23, Roblealto staff, house parents and children met in the great room of the new El Bosque house to celebrate in worship and prayer this wonderful new edition to the facilities of Roblealto. This new house was an edition to the plans for 2009 renovations because of special support received from supporting churches. The result is a beautiful, homelike residence for the children of Roblealto's Bible Home. In the near term this house will serve as a temporary shelter for children while other homes needing major repairs are renovated. Once that process is done it will be a new long term shelter, increasing the number of children served by Roblealto.

Spirits were high as approximately fifty people gathered on Friday night for a three hour event including worship, testimonies, interpretive worship dance, food and small group prayer. The message of the evening centered on the theme of God's incredible faithfulness and the partnership of churches around the world. Specifically, one of Roblealto's psychologists, Andres Villalobos, asked the people gathered: "For whom was this house built?" and "How was this house built?" Children answered these questions boldly: "This house was built for the Holy Spirit!" and "For love and peace!" Andres went on to explain that Christ came so that we may be full of faith in God. This new house is evidence of how we can trust God with the future. At this time a year ago the community gathered to celebrate the remodelling of the Bethesda house, yet no one anticipated the miracle that only a year later an entirely new house would grace the property. This is certainly God's hand of blessing and provision.

Plans for new constructions and renovations continue at the Bible Home. New homes are built on a more useful plan, using large open rooms that can accommodate the children and allow for ease of supervision by the house parents. The next construction scheduled for the Bible Home is the complete remodelling of the Arco Iris (Rainbow) House which after 40 years of sheltering children is no longer functional due to humidity problems, a weakened structure, bad lighting and ventilation. We praise God for the gift of seeing this project completed and look forward to the unfolding of plans for Arco Iris.
