Roblealto's Health Fund

There are many health care needs for the children of Roblealto. Sometimes there are emergencies to address. For example:

In the case of little Juan Carlos in one of our child care centers, Roblealto’s new health fund will save his eyesight. Born with a problem in his left eye, if he does not get surgery immediately, he will lose his sight. Juan Carlos cannot afford to wait until next year to get the surgery from the national hospital; he needs the surgery now. Roblealto’s Health Fund will pay for Juan Carlos’ surgery as well as meet the every-day health care costs for all of Roblealto’s children.

Each child receives a yearly doctor exam including eye and ear screening. They need dentist appointments and sometimes orthodontic treatment. Often, the children’s emotional and psychological needs are even more urgent than their physical needs. The children’s families are unable to pay for the necessary medical treatment. Although some supplies are donated and the Costa Rican health program covers some costs, the medical needs are an extremely expensive part of Roblealto’s budget.

Will you consider giving toward this important fund?

• $25 will provide a program with basic supplies such as band-aids and Tylenol
• $40 will buy a pair of eyeglasses for a child
• $50 will pay for a doctor’s appointment
• $90 will pay for a psychiatrist appointment
• $100 will cover one month of medications for a child
• Any additional gifts will help pay for emergencies such as Juan Carlos’ surgery
