Ridgewood Church Gets Started On Demolition

Ridgewood Church from Minnetonka, Minnesota, arrived at the end of February ready to start the demolition of old Arco Iris (Rainbow) House. For over 40 years Arco Iris has served as a Christ-centered family and place of healing for children at the Bible Home, Roblealto's temporary shelter for children who need special care away from their families. Due to many problems ranging from inadequate space, an aging structure, and new government requirements, this home needed a complete remodelling from the ground up. That process began as Ridgewood arrived with a group of five individuals with tools in-hand and with lots of experience at Roblealto.

The group tore down the interior walls and ceiling, and then carefully removed the quality wood flooring that may be used in the new construction. Ridgewood has a long relationship with Roblealto and this recent project will be added to the list of facilities that have been touched in some way by Ridgewood members. As always, central to the week was time in the evenings spent with the children over dinner and during devotions.

Special thanks to all who continue to make this mission partnership a success!
