Why We Are Here
When you improve the quality of life for a child, the entire community benefits.
Our mission is much more than simply feeding and caring for children. We give these young people a foundation, where they learn values and respect themselves. The values these children come to possess then spread in their homes and communities. The impact we can have on just one life is our greatest testimony. The transformed life of a child or youth can influence the community and the world.
Our purpose is to provide hope to at risk children in the following ways:
- A foundation of spiritual and moral values
- Access to education and health services
- Protection from abuse, exploitation and domestic violence
- Life skill training for the parents of the children
- The assistance and support of single mothers so they may earn better sources of income.
And what about their families? Mothers and fathers receive advice on how to complete their schooling or where to develop their working skills. Our social workers will help them, if necessary, with their legal rights. Results and increasing challenge.
With this integrated approach, we have found great success because the cycle of violence has been broken and alumni are enjoying a better quality of life. But this is not all. Every year we receive about 30% new children and many families are added to our waiting list. Your help can make a difference and bring joy to these children.
